Concrete Agitator Drivers - Northern Tasmania

The Opportunity

With the summer construction peak in full swing, Randstad is partnering with industry-leading clients across Northern Tasmania to find skilled Concrete Agitator Drivers. We aren't just looking for "casuals"—we are looking for reliable professionals who want the stability of full-time hours and the genuine opportunity to transition into a permanent role.

What’s in it for you?

  • Consistent Income: High-volume work with plenty of hours available.
  • Career Growth: Proven track record of moving high-performing drivers into permanent positions.
  • Local Impact: Work on key infrastructure and residential projects across the North.
  • Supportive Culture: Join a team that prioritizes your safety and work-life balance.

The Role

No two days are the same. Operating out of various sites, you will be responsible for the safe transport and delivery of concrete, ensuring every load arrives on time and to specification.

This role requires an experienced driver who can handle varied daily duties in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to multi-task and work effectively, both as a team player and unsupervised, is essential.

You will maintain a strong commitment to safety by ensuring all work is conducted according to site safety procedures and guidelines. The successful applicant will need to be flexible with availability, inclusive of early starts.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Operating HR/HC/MC Agitator trucks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Upholding a "safety-first" mindset on every site.
  • Managing early starts and a flexible schedule to meet project demands.
  • Providing top-tier service to clients and site managers.

What You Bring to the Team

We are looking for drivers who take pride in their work and their vehicle.

  • Licensing: Valid HR, HC, or MC Licence.
  • Experience: Previous Agitator experience is highly regarded (but we want to hear from skilled heavy vehicle drivers looking to transition).
  • Safety: A White Card (or willingness to obtain one) and a zero-compromise attitude toward safety.
  • Reliability & Flexibility: Punctuality is key, especially for those early morning pours. You must be available for 3.00am - 4.00am starts.
  • Local Knowledge: Comfort navigating Northern Tasmanian roads and terrain.
